History
Carlson Wagonlit Travel has been trading in the New Zealand market-place since 1995 at which time the organisation was represented by a 3rd party travel management company operating under the “ CWT Partner’s Network”. This successful relationship operated between 1995 and 2006.
In 2006, as part of a global acquisition, CWT purchased the TQ3 Navigant travel management operations in New Zealand.
As a result of the above on 09 August 2006 CWT commenced wholly-owned operations with a network including Head Office in Auckland and offices in Penrose (Auckland), Palmerston North, Wellington and Christchurch.
In addition to the above the Company also owns Stars Sports Tours & Events, a very successful tour operator that specialises in “supporters’ tours” to all major sporting events staged both nationally and internationally. Refer to www.starstours.co.nz for more information.
The Company employs 60 travel experts and has a very close relationship with a network of around 25 Travel Brokers who trade under the CWT banner.
